We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamara Abrosimova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamara, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want people to remember me for my fearlessness, ambition, and risk-taking. I want to be remembered as a caring and kind person, too. In terms of my legacy, I want my children and grandchildren to have a better life than I did. I want them to have more than I did, but not so much that they become spoiled. I also want my legacy to be about kindness to animals. I’m a big animal advocate and believe that they should be treated as equals.

I don’t want the world to remember me just by my pretty face, because that’s what I am known for. I want them to remember my intelligence, my heritage, my kindness, my open- mindness…

My future plans include opening an animal sanctuary, where all kinds of animals who are being abused and left behind can find a safe and loving home. As a volunteer and foster at numerous animal shelters, I’ve seen things that most people wouldn’t believe, and I’ve seen too many people turn a blind eye to the horrors that animals endure.

I’d like to open a Ukrainian-Russian restaurant and next to it an acting studio for people of all ages, backgrounds, races and sexuality. A studio where everyone is welcome, people would make friends and won’t be intimidated by anyone’s acting experience. Because let me tell you, I used to feel that way about a lot of classes I have been to and it ain’t fun. You just have to find your tribe.

I’d like to leave a positive mark on today’s society. I want to be remembered as the kind of individual who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind despite the control and wokeness of today. I’m the type of person who sees the truth through the ignorance of today’s world. And there is so much ignorance today, even in the acting world. Anything from pedophilia in Hollywood to pronouns and being woke. I am a human who thinks critically while it is still allowed. I think, therefore I am.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Ukrainian-Russian and American actor. I am always looking for ways to improve myself, whether it’s heading to a new acting class and honing my skills or racing exotic cars and feeling like a member of Dom’s family (from “Fast & Furious”). I am always a risk-taker and like to learn many skills that I believe could help me as an actor.

This year I did so many adrenaline-pumping activities, such as paragliding, stunt driving, racing exotic cars, rock climbing, driving a tank, cliff diving, snorkeling with sharks, and zip lining. The most exhilarating experience was when I was raised 150 feet in the air and dropped at 65 miles per hour. As you can probably tell, I’m a huge thrill-seeker. I can’t wait to do stunts as an actor. I know I’ll be beaming with excitement.

I love traveling and exploring new places, seeing different cultures, and learning about history. I’ve only been to a few countries so far, but my goal is to visit a new one every month. I think traveling with someone else is safer and more fun, but there are also benefits to traveling solo. People are always surprised when they find out that I’m a woman who travels alone, but I just use common sense and avoid going out at night unless I really need to. I believe that experiencing different cultures is an important part of being an actor, and it helps you grow as a person.

I love going to different cons and talking with fellow actors, who have been in the industry for decades. This February I met David Tennant, who is famous by playing 11th Doctor in BBC TV show called “Doctor Who”. 14 years I have waited to meet him and finally did. He is such a sweet and humble guy. Going in a cosplay is so much more fun. I personally love going as Harley Quinn. Next year I would go as Poison Ivy and Jean Grey since I am a redhead now.

I’m a huge animal lover and, like many people, I prefer animals to humans. Animals don’t let you down, they’re never mean or annoying, and they don’t break your heart. Animals can see right through you, whether it’s a cat or a dog. They can get away with anything just by being cute and adorable. I try to do the same thing, but it doesn’t always work.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely head to DragonCon. They happen every year in the metropolitan Atlanta area, and each year it gets bigger and bigger! Who knows what actors and celebrities will come next? 😉

Take a class at Bobby Ore stunt driving school. He is one of the best drifters I have personally seen, and the coaches there are amazing!

The Atlanta aquarium! Take a day off and visit it. I keep hearing about it from people all over the country. It is definitely worth seeing! 🙂

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Bryan Wright and Lane Lovegrove. They both are hustlers who are achieving their dreams and goals day by day.
Bryan went to my home country of Ukraine to help my people out in times of need, and I will forever be thankful to him for that. He is a screenwriter, a filmmaker, an actor and one of the kindest people I have met.

Lane and I have been friends for years and he hustles his butt off. Lane is always on the set. After learning as much as he could at being a stand-in in various productions, he took his craft to the next level and is a big part of the Atlanta community.
