We had the good fortune of connecting with Talia Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Talia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I definitely think that the number one thing you have to be content with as an entrepreneur is embracing your plan B. So often we get told that we can do anything we put our mind to, so we expect everything to go smoothly as planned. In reality, not everything we put our mind to is actually for us. Example, I went to college and did all the right things. I didn’t party, I studied hard, I had a double major, I worked two jobs to gain experience in my field, I had internships, and I graduated early. I did everything you were supposed to do to get a good job, but I applied to over 75 jobs and got not 1 response. I thought if I set a goal and worked hard, I would get exactly what I put my mind to. Long story short, my mental and physical health started declining to the point where the only option I had was to start an online business. I became a dementia caregiving coach (dementia caregiving was all I knew back then), then after making that business successful, I became an online business coach to help women break through and create the life of their dreams. With my online business, at the age of 21, I was able to hit my 1st 22k sales month in July 2020 (my 8th month in business) and impact women and caregivers worldwide. Why? Because I embraced my plan B. If I had found a job and didn’t get sick after college, I wouldn’t be where I am today. If my “dreams” came true, I honestly don’t know if I could say I would be as happy and fulfilled as I am now.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a dementia specialist gone dementia caregiving coach turned online business coach! Due to my chronic illnesses, I decided in 2019 that online coaching was the path I had to take. My first business was an online dementia caregiving school created to help caregivers understand dementia and how to properly care for their loved one. I soon fell in love with entrepreneurship, replacing my 9 to 5 income, and freedom so much that I decided to pursue my next big dream…helping women fall in love with the business of their dreams as well. I now help women scale their dream business with alignment and excitement. I focus on two things: the marketing and sales strategy to scale a profitable business and stepping into the person you want to become by up-leveling your mindset. I am Christian, so I often attract other Christian entrepreneurs to my circle. I truly believe that mindset, strategy, the right coach, and inspired action are the keys to creating a profitable business. Here are some facts about me! I started my first business at 19 from my laptop. I battle my chronic illness daily. My husband is my online business manager. I work only 3-4 days a week about 5 hours a day. I manifested 100% of my vision board in 5 months and I teach women how to do the same. I have a best friend approach to coaching while maintaining boundaries with my clients. I am very proud of how far I have come starting from nothing, and I love sharing my story with others. I want to show people that success can come from nothing and success is 100% achievable to those who truly believe in themselves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am an extreme foodie, so I would take my best friend to all my favorite restaurants. I love supporting small businesses and good food!… My top places would be a BBQ place in Winder, GA. (Smokin PO Boys BBQ), any Mellow Mushroom in GA, and a Mexican restaurant named El Cazuelon Mexican restaurant & seafood in Winder, GA.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother always told me to work hard and everything else will fall in place. I want to give a shout out to my mom for always telling me to be the best that I can possibly be. She created a person that radiates ambition and doesn’t give up when times get tough! And of course I want to thank all of my business coaches, life coaches, and courses I have invested in. I truly believe if you want to be successful you need to learn from the people that live the lifestyle which you strive to have.
