We had the good fortune of connecting with Taj Noir and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taj, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe that self-discipline and consistency are the most important factors in achieving success. A lot of people believe that it is motivation, but sometimes it runs out. When you have discipline, you can complete tasks even when you don’t feel like doing them, when you’re discouraged, and when your motivation runs out.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Togo Cutlery is a successful online business I launched in October 2022. I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned from my previous business, such as establishing business credit, developing a business plan, keeping track of my finances, and being more consistent. Since I was eighteen, I’ve owned my own business, but I’ve never had anyone assist me with legal matters and paperwork. The majority of my education has been independent study and trial and error. In my new business, I will implement the things I neglected to do but should have in my previous business.

Togo Cutlery is a company that offers upscale stainless steel cutlery kits to provide restaurant patrons with a cleaner and safer alternative to restaurant utensils and to provide a large global contribution to help reduce the use of single-use plastic. Our goal is to change the dynamic of dining and make Togo a dining essential.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I will take my friend to Southern Queenz, a soul food restaurant that serves these delicious soul rolls. For a night out with friends, we will go to Punch Bowl Social for drinks and games. If we are going to a brunch on Sunday, Rum Punch Brunch is the place to go for Caribbean food, Caribbean atmosphere, and Caribbean drinks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out my hometown, Tallahassee FL. I have always received so much support from my city from the moment I start selling clothes to my current e-commerce store. I would also like to thank my nail tech @melanated_destiny, my videographer @imax_b and photgrapher @shotbymarsell
