We had the good fortune of connecting with Tabitha Lawhorn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tabitha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Well, to be honest I was a little nervous at first….starting, when to start, will people like my product, etc. However, me believing in myself and my passion trumped all of my fears about moving forward and pursuing my cosmetic business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart from the others is my passion to treat my customers like family….I communicate with them as if they are my sister, cousin, bestie, whatever! I feel like I have gotten where I am today is bt doing just that. Keeping it real and just being my outgoing fun-loving self…the transition to becoming a succesful business owner wasn’t easy, there are definitely bumpy rides but all of those humps are worth it! I’ve learned that patience and passion is key, your business cannot be a success without passion behind it. Believe that! I know there are sooo many cosmetic lines out there, but I want everyone to remember the experience they had especially with Tabz Cosmetics!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh YEZ!!! I would like to dedicate a major shout out to Carol, Dwayne, and Cheryl for believing whole heartedly in me, I can’t mention one without the other.
