We had the good fortune of connecting with Synsai and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi synsai, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Ever since my younger years, I have always obtained many creative bones – a natural calling so to speak. Music specifically has always been the focal point for me. From playing percussion in band, singing in chorus, even writing songs in my journal. You name it. I was drawn to it. Knowing how listening to music makes me feel, motivates me to make the world feel the same way. At peace.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being fairly new to this industry has me elated to the max. There’s so much that I am learning everyday and the knowledge seems endless. I’m excited to see how far my art will take me and how it will evolve.

Personally, it took a lot of confidence building to even remotely get to where I am now. I was never just mega confident about my talent at all, even though many people around me told me that I had a gift. Just couldn’t see it for myself. Comparing myself to other people was a major contribution to the mindset I possessed. I had to acknowledge the fact that I am capable of creating beautiful music in my
own way without sounding like the next person.

It’s been a few years now that I have taken my career seriously. Trying to get studio time was [ and still is ] too expensive for me to get so I started to
[ and still do ] record from my phone on an app called bandlab. Taught myself the basics and took off from that point on.

I want the world to know that i’m only getting started. Everyone is watching me grow and develop in real time. I have so much in store, so many concepts, themes, and ideas. I welcome you all to experience this journey with me and enjoy the ride.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta has my heart, there is so much to see and do out here. I love the nightlife out here. My friends and I tend to gravitate towards our favorite spot MJQ. They just relocated to the underground and the atmosphere is super dope. Honorable mention to Sister Louisa’s Church on Edgewood. That whole strip is a good time. But there are so many night clubs and bars out here, i’m still exploring myself.

The A is also known for good eats. Waffle House, Cookout, and Landmark/Marietta Diner has always held me down for late night grubs. There are also good restaurants around Atlantic Station I recommend to anyone.

We also have aesthetically pleasing places to visit like our Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Georgia Aquarium, Sky View, and Piedmont Park. There’s literally stuff everywhere in Atlanta, you’re going to have a good time regardless. Promise !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to always give glory to god for even blessing me with such a gift. Shoutout to my family for always supporting me. Anyone who has been apart of any of my creative processes. To my heart in human form, thank you specifically, for pushing me and keeping me on my toes at all times. Down to everyone that has taken the time to simply view, like, comment, share, or stream my music – I appreciate you –

Also huge thanks to you guys for giving me a platform to share my story. !
That’s love.
