We had the good fortune of connecting with Syncere Evans-Jefferson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Syncere, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting my own business was to create a purpose I can pass down from generation to generation.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am originally from Plainfield, New Jersey where I was part and one of the Ceo’s of a group called Phantomboyz, which was started back in 2005. At Phantomboyz, we produce music and did production for mainstream Artists such as Christina Aguilera, Jim Jones, Wyclef Jean from The Fugees, Sean Puffy Combs and the list goes on.

Learning the music industry as a production company was challenging, but we overcame a lot of opticals. It was time for a change so I took a break from music and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. I tapped a little into the acting industry, which is something I also did in New Jersey. However it wasn’t until 2017 is when I got back into the music industry and went from production to creating a platform for Indie Artists to showcase their talent.

The name of my new company was called Flood Gates Entertainment. Flood Gate Entertainment provided excellent service to Indie Artists such as , Live Concerts Events, Influencer Marketing, Branding Strategies, Media Campaigns, Music Video Promotions, Song Placements, Music Production and Artist Development. Flood Gates Entertainment began to have a well known respectful name in the music industry. Due to my paperwork not being completed, in 2019 I ended up losing Flood Gates Entertainment to someone putting a trademark on it.

So in 2020 I created a new brand called Emperial Music Group. This time I made sure all my paperwork was in order. Emperial Music Group is one of Atlanta’s hottest emerging music companies. Emperial Music Group(EMG) is privileged to work with artists of all genres, bringing their creativity to life in studios, on stage , and on television around the world. The meaning of Emperial means the most High. Our purpose is to change lives of the artists as well as the fans. The creativity behind the music and the artists, can uplift, inspire and create a memory that will last a lifetime.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots in the city is Atlantic station ,Perimeter and Lennox Mall. The New Braves stadium and Mercedes-Benz Stadium is two other cool spots to visit and hang out at. The food there is great as well as the Malls. My favorite food spot to visit is the SluttyVegan ATL.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give credit to my family for being so supportive, encouraging me in many ways to stay focused and do what’s right. I also would like to give credit to the independent artists who believed in the platform I have created for them to get their music in front of the world. Lastly I would like to give credit to my team I put together to help bring this platform to life. They helped to create the live concert events with me , helping to influence the influencers, the fans , the artists.
