We had the good fortune of connecting with Summer Raaine Fox and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Summer Raaine, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve had big dreams ever since I was a kid! Now I know that it was God who put those dreams on my heart back then. Later, I started to think my dreams were too big but God brought me right back around to the same dreams I’ve had since I was a kid. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a singer & performer so I can be in music videos with Missy Elliot and Ciara. Now I use that same passion to become a professional dancer/ choreographer and creative director. I used to want to be in Tyler Perry plays and movies, but now I know to use that passion to pursue a film career in acting, directing and producing! All in all, God already knew what He wanted me to do and what He put in my heart, so now I am following His plan and I love it!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy and I still have work to do. It has been a journey but I’ve learned to bet on myself with everything. Not just with opportunities, but with my support. I’ve grown from being my worst critic to my biggest supporter! I learned to not be so hard on myself because that was blocking me from seeing how talented I really was. My main goal with my brand and career is to inspire and impact. I want people to see me and become encouraged! I want to make people feel beautiful. I want them to know God loves them and I want to change their lives for the better.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend coming, I would want them to see a little bit of everything and experience Atlanta. I would take them to The Bando ( a 90s hip hop themed restaurant), downtown Atlanta, and I could even take them horse back riding. There’s something in Atlanta for everyone, so I would choose the place depending who the person is.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to Jesus first and foremost for being my Lord and Savior! Then I dedicate my shoutout to my parents, The Hatches and my sisters Michelle and Unique for helping me become the woman I am!
