Meet Stephanie Johnson, LPN: Founder and CEO of New Standard Learning Center LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Johnson, LPN and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have been in healthcare/customer service for many years and after facing challenges in my personal life, I had a vision to start a business that benefited others. New Standard Learning Center LLC focuses on not only the healthcare professional but the patients that they will be serving. We aim to set a new standard in professional development in and out of the workplace for the individual as well as teaching a patient centered approach to every acuity of care.
New Standard Learning Center, LLC focuses on changing our healthcare system by ensuring that our new concept of system of care, the patient-centric approach, is taught to millions nationwide and it is the thought process behind starting my own business.
As a founding board member of The Path: An Agent of Change Inc., My healthcare expertise and advice is used to contribute to their projects that focus on changing societal systems. New Standard Learning Center has been a foundational member of a new era of change to come.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a woman of worth and great value. I am a wife, mom, nurse and CEO. I wear many hats and wear them well. My translucent character flows through all of my positions in life.
In the healthcare/customer service industry I pride myself on changing individual’s hindrance and obstacles. With change comes resistance and I have faith that I will overcome. New Standard Learning Center’s growth is imperative as it has the ability to greatly affect the community on an upward slope.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely love midtown and Ponce Market. A nice stroll on the beltline to explore the different restaurants and distilleries.
I am big on seafood and sushi. I am originally from Florida where the sea is literally at our fingertips. Eight Sushi lounge is the best for sushi. A newly opened seafood restaurant The Goodz ATL is great for seafood.
Chops & Lobster Bar for a nice dinner in Buckhead.
Being a mother of two littles we visit a lot of parks. Piedmont and Centennial park are very beautiful. Trampoline parks around the metro Atlanta area are also great for the littles, the aquarium, children’s museum and stone mountain are some of our favorites to visit as a family.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would first like to thank God for giving me a chance to give back and serve others. I would also like to thank my husband Darryl and my two beautiful daughters, Jessica and Nadia. Their constant support, encouragement and love to continue to educate myself and to be better is what drives me. I can not fail with them in my corner.
I would also like to thank my mother, Susie and my father Stevie for being the encouraging parents I needed from a child that instilled greatness in every word. They birthed a leader and it has manifested before their eyes.
My family is very instrumental in my day to day choices in life. Whatever I choose to do affects and reflects on them.
