We had the good fortune of connecting with Star Pryor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Star, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work-life balance has always been a challenge for many people, especially for moms who are also entrepreneurs. In the beginning, I struggled with finding the right balance between my business and my family. I was overwhelmed with work and still felt guilty about not spending enough time with my kids. It was a constant battle of choosing between my business and my family.

But I knew that something had to change. I didn’t want to miss out on important moments with my family while also providing for them. That’s when I started implementing systems in my business and home life. It wasn’t easy, but it definitely made a huge difference.

By putting systems in place, I was able to manage my time more efficiently and prioritize the important things. I could attend all of my son’s events and still run a successful business without feeling guilty or stressed out.

Now, I want to help other mompreneurs find that same balance. I believe that every mompreneur should be able to have a thriving business without sacrificing time with their family. It’s not about choosing one over the other, but rather finding a way to have both.

My formula for achieving this balance includes implementing home systems, productivity systems, and client management systems. These systems help moms manage their time more effectively and prioritize what’s most important to them. It’s all about finding the right balance that works for each individual mompreneur.

What should our readers know about your business?
After being fired from my tech job in 2020 for having my children at home during the pandemic, I felt lost and uncertain about my future. However, that experience ignited a fire in me to create something that no one could take away from me: my own business.

I pivoted towards a career as a productivity strategist and coach, providing support such as workshops, coaching, and done-for-you services to help entrepreneurs grow and sustain their businesses. Additionally, I co-founded the VA Sorority, which helps women start their own virtual assistant businesses.

Through my coaching and services, I have been able to reach over 6,000 people and empower them to achieve their dreams and balance their lives. I am grateful for the opportunity to turn a difficult situation into a positive outcome and help others do the same.

I learned that it’s essential to prioritize and manage my time effectively and to surround myself with people who can offer support, guidance, and accountability

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my amazing mother, Cherise Pryor. She has been my motivation throughout my life, and never once told me that I was incapable of achieving my dreams, no matter how crazy they sometimes sound.

Her unwavering support and belief in me have been a driving force behind my success as a productivity strategist and coach. My mom has shown me what it means to be a strong, compassionate, and resilient woman. I am so grateful for her guidance, wisdom, and love, and I hope to pass on the same kind of support and encouragement to others, just as she has done for me.
