We had the good fortune of connecting with Stan Banks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stan, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My mission is to impact the world in the best way possible! It just so happens for me, that way is through t-shirts. I teach everyday people how to start their own t-shirt business or clothing brand, which allows them to start create income on their own terms. Just think, if they generate $500-$1,000 from their t-shirt business, it now allows them to pay an extra bill for the month or start saving for something important for their family. And that range is just the beginning! A t-shirt business or clothing brand can be turned into a fulltime business that provides the opportunity for you to create the life you want. The goal within my business is to provide a choice! By creating a way for people to make income on their own, they now have the option to not work for anyone if they should choose.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One thing I am most proud of is that I got to where I am today by remaining true to who I am! In this industry there can be a lot of things that pull you away from being you and that’s something I was never willing to do. I was committed to “taking the stairs” and building an authentic audience by grinding my way through, while others may have opted for the elevator. As you ascend on the journey to success there are times you may fall off track. But if you lean on your morals and values, you’ll find yourself back on the right path. The biggest lesson about me and my brand is that you can go from being average to an influencer by showing up and being consistent. Anything is possible if you stay true to you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If they are hanging with me, they are guaranteed to have a good time and good food! I would take them to one of my favorite spots called Cirque Blu Seafood House. They have awesome brunch options, seafood, and the best slushie drinks you’ll find in Atlanta. While we eat, we’ll discuss their clothing line ideas and artwork. We would finish the lunch off by placing an artwork order with Supacolor ATL. Next stop would be to Superline wholesale. They offer the best wholesale prices and latest in blank fashion for brands. In a day or so, we would pick up the prints and I would show them step by step how to put their clothing brand together. Lastly, being the seafood lover that I am, I wouldn’t let them leave town without hitting up KrabQueenz in downtown ATL.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This shoutout goes to all of my football coaches I’ve had throughout the years! They’ve taught me life lessons through football that made me understand that “the game “wasn’t just about the game; it was really about life. I learned how to navigate a lot of my life experiences through organized sports.

Book: There is also the book “Steal like an Artist” by Austin Kleon. This was the first book I had ever read at the age of 23! This book opened my perspective and unlocked a major part of my creativity.

Business: I am shouting out Rum and Mike from Supacolor! They set the stage and allowed me to execute my personal vision for their company through their marketing department. In doing this, I was able to exceed their goals and grow both their business and mine.
