Meet Stacie (Thompson) & Shamarra (Farmer): Owners: Sincerely Brown

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacie (Thompson) & Shamarra (Farmer) and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacie & Shamarra, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Sincerely Brown was birthed by two Georgia peaches that have been friends for over 20 years and have several things in common, but fashion is definitely something we see eye to eye on! Our brand was created to celebrate women who balance it all, whether they are moms, wives, friends, and/or excelling in their careers. Sincerely Brown was created to empower and celebrate all facets of a woman through messages that uplift and resonate with the girl who is holding things down! It is extremely personal to us because we are aware of the challenges and rewards of balancing and maximizing the everyday grind. It is truly a lifestyle and we love to empower women and make them look and feel good!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Sincerely Brown is a lifestyle that is very relatable to the girl next door. Our apparel is for the ladies who enjoy stepping out for dinner or hanging out with friends, but also loves to be comfy and chill at home. We are most proud of how we are able to be authentic to who we truly are. We do believe that our consumers are women who have similar paths, goals and aspirations. Our apparel has messages that empower and celebrate exactly who we are. The journey to Sincerely Brown was a lengthy one because initially we almost let fear talk us out of pursuing our passion. We are truly grateful to our families and tribe who encouraged us to take a leap of faith and birth Sincerely Brown. We have definitely had some growing pains along the way, however some of the greatest lessons we have learned are to keep pushing and stay true to our vision. We would like the world to know that Sincerely Brown apparel allows you to live out loud and celebrate the beauty of womanhood!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Sincerely Brown girls definitely love to hit the Atl streets and frequent some of our favorite spots in the metro area. We would start with brunch at The Real Milk & Honey. Next we would head to Little Five Points to enjoy the vintage shops and creative artwork that can be found throughout the area. Snapping some pics, especially by the Outkast mural is a must! We would then head to Ponce City Market and enjoy some shopping, bike riding and ice cream. We would grab a delicious plant-based burger from Slutty Vegan. Lastly, we would head to Ms. Icey’s Kitchen to enjoy cocktails and music!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our children, the Thompson and Farmer crew who are our inspiration to be the absolute best versions of ourselves and keep us forever young! Also, our spouses who truly and whole-heartedly support Sincerely Brown. Lastly, our tribe who gave us the push we needed to take the entrepreneurship leap.
