We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacie Brooks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacie, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Before I became “The Shea Butter Ladi” I was an every day user of the Shea butter. I started with buying a bulk of Shea butter product that I used for myself. Eventually I learned how to whip my own Shea butter and add my own spin on ingredients and customize fragrances.
I would suggest to always start a business with the things you love to do, wear and go and invest in those avenues. I love using my own product and I love how I became a walking brand for something I love to use on my skin and locks on a daily basis.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started my healing journey as a massage therapist and then studied herbs to become a Master Herbalist. Undergoing my own self healing with emotion code therapy, and decided that is another method I need to provide to heal others. My spiritual journey allows me to continue to touch others through a medium that you can touch yourself with, and that’s how self healing starts.
The Shea Butter Ladi is a trademark owned by me, Sta’Cie Brooks. I traveled to, Ghana to learn more about how Shea butter and how it’s made. I’’m proud to provide a product that allows people skin to heal from dark spots, blemishes, acne spots, stretch marks and any skin discoloration. I put my loving and healing energy in every batch. As the Shea Butter Ladi I promote self love and self care, and just by touching yourself daily with my skin care products your doing just that, healing yourself. The best lesson I have learned is to replenish yourself first, before you give your energy away
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be a strong, independent women if it wasn’t for the Goddess that gave me life and the strength to listen to my intuition. My mother showed me how to give love and how to receive love, how to work hard and how to laugh hard. Thanks to Arlene Brooks, who showed me how to be a entrepreneur and to never give up on my dreams. All my thanks and credit goes to the lady that raised me, my Mom
