We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacee Butler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacee, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
I’ve encouraged my two daughters all along the way. Nothing beats a failure but a try! They know that I love them unconditionally and that their mom has their back! Both are inspiring entrepreneurs in their own right. However, I also emphasize education. The oldest is a rising junior, majoring in Business, and the youngest is a rising sophomore majoring in pre-med. I live a life of transparency. And strive to live in a way that models, integrity

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I guess if I have to choose one, and if so, it would be publishing the written word. Words are powerful, I have been given the awesome privilege of giving voice to those who otherwise may not be able to express themselves any other way. That’s deep…. How did I get to where I am professionally. A seed (thought), cultivate, and it produced fruit. Was it easy? Naw. Some wise person once said true success, comes from hard work. Faith! I believe in me. Self motivated, consistent, driven. I’ve learned a lot. You gotta have seed money, and always put money back into your business. Statistically it’s 3-5 years before you begin to see real profit. Oh, and everyday ain’t a good day, just keep pushing.

My brand is my story. I am my brand 4evastae Publishing, Xstacee Modeling, Street Legends Apparel. My story is forever evolving! Right now, this is what I do and who I am.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Of Course downtown ATL, May be get on the Ferris Wheel at night and enjoy the beautiful skyline. I love renting those scooters and breezing through the City. Show her or him the infamous Morehouse College, Spelman College. The Atlanta Black History and Civil Rights Museum, The Aquarium, Piedmont Park, there is so much to do here. One of my favorite places to eat is the Sundial Restaurant it’s really nice. My favorite place to eat is Negril Restaurant, so most definitely there. I’ve been cooking more at home lately, so for sure, between me or my oldest daughter who is also an aspiring chef in her free time, will fix something tasty.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to The Lord! Everything is possible with Him. He has placed many people in my life that have loved and supported me along the way! You know it takes a village. My Mom and Dad, for my foundation. My husband, who supports and encourages me in my endeavors, and of course my daughters. Its really too many (my Grandma, Aunties, Uncles…….)
