Meet Sir Gates: Entrepreneur – SHOUTOUT ATLANTA

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sir Gates and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sir, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks is very important to both my life and career. Playing it safe all of the time will only get you so far in whatever it is that you’re trying to do. Sometimes in life, you have to be able to put your fears aside and take a leap of faith. Some of those jumps are very risky. They can have a high-risk factor or a low one but you have to determine which is right for your situation. I am one who is not scared to make mistakes are what most people call a loss. I look at every loss a lesson but how do you expect to ever learn the lesson if you arent willing to take risks to see if you will succeed or fail. You can’t be scared to take risks, have faith, and do not operate out of fear. Whatever may go wrong, look at it, analyze it, correct it, and get back in the game. There have been many times to where I’ve taken a risk and it set me back, but that never stopped me because I knew the consequences of the risk before I even started on the endeavor. However, every risk taken has led to some form of progression in my life and career. Be smart about the risk you take and just go for it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Lifer Society is the brand! Lifer Society’s brand is built on creativity, culture, and community. The purpose is to bring together and uplift all walks of life and creatives around the world. We want to provide the tools and support needed for success in whatever it is one may be doing. On the journey of creating this brand, I’ve learned a lot. One of the most important lessons that I’ve learned is to be patient. Don’t rush the process and do not compare the success of your brand or process based on someone else’s. If you do it will lead to a premature vision. Create at your own pace and really nurture your brand as it is literally your child. It was not an easy road to get to where I am today. It took a lot of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. Most of the challenges that I’ve faced along the way I overcame them by remaining persistent and focused. Maintaining a positive mindset mixed with prayer, focus and hard work has pathed the way.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
If I had a friend visiting, I’d recommend them to take a trip to the beltline at Ponce City Market. The vibe there is dope and creative. For good eats, I’d take them to Slutty Vegan, STK Atlanta, Big Dave Cheestakes, and if they are in the mood for Chinese food I’d take them straight to Chow-Lees on the East Side. Felling like brunch, then I’d direct them to BQE. As far as places to visit I’d take them to the heart of the city and just travel. There is so much that Atlanta has to offer a visitor.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The ultimate shoutout goes to God. Without his grace, I would have nothing. Shoutout to my family and friends who supports my journey. Every member of Boss Club Dynasty, all the supporters of Lifer Society, and shoutout to the ones that I don’t know but are supporting me.
