We had the good fortune of connecting with Simone R. Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Simone R., we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my business/career has taught me is that words mean nothing; you have to have things in writing. Written agreements provide clarity, accountability, and protection for all parties involved.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It was definitely not easy. Success comes before hard work only in the dictionary. My journey has been filled with mistakes, hard work, and dedication. Persistency has been the driving force in my evolution into the woman I am becoming. My brand is growing, and I seek to keep God at the center to ensure success in my steps.

The challenges I faced were numerous, but each one taught me invaluable lessons. I learned the importance of resilience, the power of staying true to my vision, and the necessity of having things in writing. These lessons have shaped my approach and fortified my resolve.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that we are built on a foundation of perseverance and faith. My story is one of continuous growth and unwavering commitment to improvement, inspired by my son and guided by a higher purpose.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Atlanta for a week, I’d make sure she had the best time ever.
Here’s an itinerary of some of my favorite spots that I would take her to:

Day 1: Arrival and Toast on Lenox
Morning:Pick her up from the airport and grab brunch at Toast on Lenox. Their menu is fantastic, and it’s a perfect welcome to Atlanta.

Afternoon:Explore Piedmont Park and enjoy a leisurely stroll or rent bikes to ride around the park.

Evening: Head to Ponce City Market for some shopping and then have dinner at one of the many trendy eateries there.

Day 2: History and Culture
Morning: We would check out breakfast at Barneys and then Visit the Atlanta History Center to learn about the city’s rich history.

Afternoon: Check out the High Museum of Art for an afternoon of culture and beautiful exhibits.
Evening: Dine at Mary Mac Tea Room for an amazing southern dish.

Day 3: Downtown Adventure
Morning: Start the day at the Georgia Aquarium, one of the largest and most impressive aquariums in the world and my favorite spots.

Afternoon: Walk over to the World of Coca-Cola** to learn about the history of this iconic brand and taste sodas from around the world.
Evening: Catch a show or game at the State Farm Arena depending on what day she’s coming in.

Day 4: Outdoor Fun
Morning: Head to Stone Mountain Park for a hike and take in the stunning views from the top.
Afternoon:Enjoy some Caribbean food

Evening:Have dinner at Krog Street Market and then stroll along the BeltLine.

Day 5: Shopping and Dining

Morning: Visit Lenox Square for some shopping at one of Atlanta’s premier malls.
Afternoon: Stop by Atlantic Station for more shopping and maybe catch a movie.

Evening: Enjoy some Slutty Vegan

Day 6: Music and Nightlife
Morning: Explore the Center for Civil and Human Rights to gain insight into important historical events.

Afternoon:Visit Little Five Points for some shops and a unique vibe.
Evening: Experience Atlanta’s downtown nightlife in the city with live music or a fun night out in Buckhead.

Day 7: Relax and Reflect and unwind
Morning: Have a relaxing brunch at Canoe, with beautiful views along the Chattahoochee River.

Afternoon:Visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Evening: Reflect on the week over dinner at The Juicy Crab

Atlanta is full of vibrant and exciting places, and this itinerary will give my best friend a fantastic taste of what the city has to offer.m and then send her home because after a week I would be tired of her lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my son. He’s the driving force behind my journey to become a better version of myself every day. His presence inspires me to lead by example and offer him encouragement not just through words, but through my actions as well.
