We had the good fortune of connecting with Simone Jester and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Simone, what do you attribute your success to?
Support from my mom, my family CONSTANTLY supporting without having me to ask for them, and growing customer base that supports my small business by making a purchase, referring us to others, or showcasing our products/business on their social media platforms. I couldn’t do this without the support of others. I love knowing there are people that simply enjoy my products and want to support me by making a purchase. Without the support, I think it would’ve been a struggle to continue my success and maintain a positive attitude. I love showing support to others, and when I see others showing support to me, it warms my heart.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Blue Brain Creations is a small business curating handmade products to assist in creating and supporting your self-care routine. We feel it is important to not only take care of others but making yourself a priority as well. Our motto is “While you take care of others, let us take care of you,” and this is something that we whole-heartedly stand by. We create products that place emphasis on relaxing your soul, body, and obviously the mind. We want you to relax in the tub or shower and allow the negative thoughts/ideas, anything, and everything to wash away. Once you step out of the bathroom, you should feel refreshed, like a new person, and silky smooth.

We are most excited about the new products that we create every month. We try to create a new round of soaps every month that would correspond to the season or how we’re feeling at the moment. We want to share in the moments of pure happiness and excitement with our customers.

There are many lessons that we’ve learned along the way to get where we are now, but we try not to dwell on the negatives and focus on the positives that have allowed us to make it thus far. We look forward to vendor shows and opportunities that allow us to showcase our products to the community, and share our motto with the world. If there was anything that I would want the world to know about Blue Brain Creations is that we want you to feel like Blue Brain Creations cares about you. Whether you’re having a bad day, good day, annoyed and just need to relax, we care about all aspects of an individual, which is why we got started in the first place.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of the spots that I like to visit are food spots. I would take them on a tour of the city just visiting Harold’s chicken in Smyrna, Big Dave’s either Downtown or Doraville, Imperial Garden out in Stone Mountain, or Korean fried chicken at Choong Man where I can eat the most delicious pile of chicken and onions I’ve ever had. We would also go to the beltline and possibly try skating. During the weekend, we would drive around the city and find a few pop-up shows (check out the Atlanta Indie Market) to attend (or have them help me if I’m vending at one) or even visit the VillageMarketATL. We would explore the city the way I like to explore it, just wing it without a clue, all while trying to AVOID TRAFFIC.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout goes to my mom. She’s featured on my website as my ‘everything else’; when I say that, I mean she’s our creative director, my intern, investor, additional soapmaker, etc. She is literally everything else that I can’t be at the time. She has supported me throughout our entire process of running Blue Brain Creations. She supports me in everything that I’ve wanted to dibble and dabble in, even when it didn’t make sense. She stands behind me and pushes me to be the best person I can be. Without her support, I don’t think I would’ve pushed myself this hard as doubt often likes to creep and settle into my mind and stay for a while. I’m a work in progress but I love having her support. She’s always pushing me to be more creative, to try new ideas, and helping me to steer clear of ideas that wouldn’t work out. Without her support, I don’t know how far in this business I would’ve gotten especially with doubting myself. I love that she’s helpful and pushes me to be better and that’s why we’ve grown so much in the short time we’ve been open.

I would also like to shout out Angela Lanell Artwork. Her artwork is AMAZING. It’s charcoal-based and gorgeous, I’ve bought a piece that went well with another piece of art in my home.
