Meet Sierra Bivins | Virtual Assistant & Online Business Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sierra Bivins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sierra, do you have a budget? How do you make lifestyle and spending decisions?
Yes, I definitely have a budget. Being a single mother of two sons, I have to budget my personal finances. Even if I didn’t have any children, I would still budget my personal finances. I make my lifestyle and spending decisions pretty simply…I don’t live outside my means. The needs of my children and household come first, all leisure things come second. I didn’t grow up with a silver spoon in my mouth and through both childhood and adulthood, I’ve learned that money doesn’t grow on trees.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
To talk about my career means flashing back to the industries/jobs that I HATED and the industries/jobs that I LOVED! I got my start in the restaurant and hospitality industries and those industries are not for the weak! They really showed me the definition of maintaining professionalism, even in toxic work environments. After three years, I made the transition to Corporate America, where my work ethic shifted, as I was fine-tuned and groomed to that level of working. That has gotten me to my current professional level. Was it easy? HA, of course not! Like any challenge in life though, I found the lesson(s) within it.
What sets me apart from others is my work ethic. I’m only “broadcasting” my work ethic in this interview, but typically, I let my work speak for itself, I move in silence. What sets me apart from others is my determination to build a REPUTABLE brand. Anyone can start a business, but not everyone will start AND maintain a reputable business.
If I have learned any lessons along the way, I have learned to be accountable, believe in myself, create a healthy work-life balance, maintain professionalism and protect my peace.
I want the world to know that my brand and my story is a long time in the making! LOL, I would have to write a full length book or film a Lifetime movie or Netflix series to truly detail how I got to this point. My brand is truly representative of me and those that know me can vouch for that.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am based/reside in Columbus and while we don’t have quite nearly the amount of good eats and exciting places to check out that ATL has, there are a few hidden gems in the city.
To highlight the trip and although terrified, I’d suggest a trip downtown to Whitewater Express and go rafting on the Chattahoochee River. I’d also suggest a nice brunch at Hotel Indigo.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my maternal grandmother, Hattie Anderson. This lady has been instrumental in my life from the day I was born, she prays for my children and I EVERYDAY, and she is constantly dropping gems of wisdom and life hacks.
