We had the good fortune of connecting with Shone Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shone, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Da Evening Rush Network was started by Shone “Don” Brown in 2020. My vision was to create a platform that provided a voice for independent creators and allowed for a diverse range of content. Here are some key aspects of the thought process behind starting the network:
By recognizing the need for a platform where independent content creators could share their work without the restrictions imposed by traditional media outlets.
The goal was to offer a variety of content, from talk shows and podcasts to live broadcasts, catering to different interests and communities.
Wanting to build a community where listeners and viewers could engage with content that resonated with their experiences and interests.
By leveraging digital platforms, the network aimed to make content easily accessible to a wide audience, breaking down geographical and economic barriers.
The network sought to embrace new technologies and trends in digital media to stay relevant and appealing to its audience.
By being initiative and driven by a combination of providing a platform for underrepresented voices and leveraging the flexibility of digital media to create a dynamic and inclusive network.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Da Evening Rush Network stands out as a distinctive platform dedicated to amplifying diverse voices and stories. Rooted in the commitment to community and authenticity, this network offers a range of shows that touch on various aspects of life, culture, and entertainment. Here’s a closer look at what sets us apart and our journey:
We offer a wide array of shows that cater to different interests and demographics. This ensures that there is something for everyone, from talk shows to music and lifestyle programs.
Our content is deeply connected to the communities we serve. We prioritize local stories, highlight underrepresented voices, and engage with our audience on a personal level.
We believe in authenticity and real conversations. Our hosts and guests bring genuine perspectives and experiences, creating a relatable and trustworthy environment.
The journey to where we are today has been anything but easy. Starting a network involves numerous challenges, from securing funding and resources to building a loyal audience. However, perseverance and a clear vision have been our guiding stars.
Like many startups, we faced financial constraints, technical issues, and the challenge of establishing a brand identity. The initial phases required a lot of trial and error, learning, and adapting.
We overcame these obstacles through relentless determination and by building a strong team that shares our passion and vision. Collaboration and community support have been crucial in navigating through tough times.
Being flexible and open to change is vital. The media landscape is constantly evolving, and staying relevant requires continuous innovation.
Understanding and engaging with our audience is essential. Feedback helps us improve and tailor our content to meet their needs.
Success doesn’t come overnight. Consistent effort and resilience are necessary to overcome setbacks and achieve long-term goals.
Our brand is built on the foundation of storytelling and community connection. We aim to be more than just a media network; we aspire to be a platform that empowers voices and fosters a sense of belonging.
We aim to expand our reach and bring our content to a larger, global audience.
Continuously explore new formats and technologies to enhance our offerings.
Deepen our involvement with the communities we serve through events, collaborations, and social initiatives.
Da Evening Rush Network is more than a brand; it is a movement towards inclusive and impactful storytelling. We want the world to know that we are here to make a difference, one story at a time. Our journey has been fueled by passion, resilience, and a commitment to authenticity, and we are excited about what the future holds.
