We had the good fortune of connecting with Sheri Howard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sheri, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born and raised in Philadelphia… West Philly to be exact. I come from a small tight knit family, and am the youngest of my siblings. I have always had a passion for home decor. Since I was a little girl, playing for me consisted of redecorating spaces in my house, or rearranging my room to look like pictures I saw in magazines. Home was always a safe haven for me as a child. It was the space I felt the most loved, protected, and seen. A major part of those feelings came from my mother and the love she put in our home- both through it’s appearance and how she showed up for her family.

The older I became the more I found myself finding joy in creating beautiful spaces for myself and my friends. I’ve always been dedicated to creating vibes in my home and in those of the people I love. Looking more in depth, it is a bit of a love language for me. Keeping that in mind, it makes perfect sense to me that my passion and business surrounds around creating pieces for people to create a home that they will love and feel safe.

Owning a home decor brand is my way to share my love language with the world. That is my ultimate goal.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
On a nice day in Philly, I’d head to 9th St (The Italian Market) and grab some fresh bread, cheese spreads, olives, peppers and wine at Di Bruno Brothers

Then I’d grab my QQ sweatshirt throw blanket and head to the Art Museum to sit in the grass by the water to have a little picnic (Its my favorite spot in the city)

After that, I’d probably take a walk on Kelly Drive and watch the sunset. (The city views are great from this location)

I’m a really simple women and love being in nature and the landscape of my city.. so this would be an ideal way for me to show someone the things I love the most in my hometown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Delia Howard (my mother)- she was my biggest cheerleader/ supporter and the inspiration for me to venture out as a full time business owner. The way she lived is inspiring to the woman I want to be; and her passing was the push I needed to take the leap to live life on my own terms and lead with love

Kyseer (My Son)- His presence is a present lol. Being his mother is proof that I am capable of great things and the reminder I need whenever I think about giving up. He is my constant motivation and has given me so much purpose in life. He keeps me grounded and focus on the bigger picture
