Meet Sheanah Rivers | Energy Healer & Teacher/Podcast Host

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sheanah Rivers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sheanah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was tired of working a 9-5 and feeling like I wasn’t making a difference with my work. (I also got fired a few times at the end of my corporate life and felt that was a nudge to make a change lol)
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I don’t ever want work to feel like work….if it does, I need to move on. With that said, my “work” life is very similar to my daily life and interactions. I always provide an experience. You’re going to learn something while I’m in your life. I’m proud of myself for following my intuition and cutting ties with things that don’t serve my purpose. In the middle of a pandemic, I thrived with faith and humility. I learn the best from working with mentors. At the start of my massage career I had a mentor, at the start of my Reiki journey, and now I have a coach and mentor in Human Design. It definitely hasn’t been easy but it has its rewards. Asking for help with learning marketing and rates was necessary. Asking others for help as an an entrepreneur, in general is necessary. I want the world to know that I tried to do things the way school taught me and that path wasn’t for me. My path is designed to make a large impact and have my thoughts and opinions heard. Traditional education isn’t for everybody and I’m so happy and fulfilled in what I do now.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m not out in the city much. You’ll see me (and friends who visit) taking walks in nature and by the river. (I’m also still hesitant on many restaurants since COVID) I can at least people watch all day from a distance. The couch and a bottle of wine has been my hang time these days with friends. Again, I provide an experience, so the couch surfing will likely have fuzzy socks, snacks, refills, and great convo.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Noemi Martinez for sharing this and many other opportunities with me
