Meet Shayana Broussard | Philanthropist and Boutique owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shayana Broussard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shayana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When deciding to start my own business, I considered my goals, and my passion for what I wanted to do. I wanted to leave my mark on the world, even if it consisted of only my surrounding love of family and friends. I wanted to contribute to something more than me. I was burning of desire to change and step out on faith to start my own business

What should our readers know about your business?
I not only own Classy N Thick Boutique. I’m the founder of Charlotte’s Hope Inc; a nonprofit organization located in Dekalb County, GA. Our mission is to assist families with children battling mental health issues, being a influencers of the community, allowing us to make an impact on changing, bullying, allowing youth to volunteer, counseling, events and activities. I also went on to start my boutique to give plus size women, such as myself an opportunity to snatch their beautiful moments, sometimes missed due to being self conscious of our weight. It hasn’t been easy but I will not be giving up or stopping anytime soon. I learned and is still learning the guide to successfully running a busy, I’m ready now more than ever.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love sip and paints in Tucker, GA. We would also visit Bear & Honey candle store for one of their candle making classes, We would visit the Movie Tavern for a great movie.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shout-out my friends and kids for the unlimited support and belief in my dreams
