We had the good fortune of connecting with Shawnta Wiggins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shawnta, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
All money ain’t good money !
What should our readers know about your business?
My catering business name is Taa’s Foodtique . I got here pushing myself & dedication ! It was not easy ! I worked night shift & went to culinary school during the day . I went to culinary school 3-4 days a week & worked nights 6-7 days a week . It was days I didn’t see my kids till Friday . It was days I didn’t go home . I’ll go straight to school then work , then back to school . The lesson that I’ve learned during this trying time is to never put things off . If you want to do something do it ! I would like the world to know that I built my catering business from the ground up ! You can do anything you put your mind too. It won’t be easy but it’ll be worth it
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my best friend to centennial Olympic park . It’s always something going on there . I would pack a lunch prepared by Taa’s Foodtique then we would ride the Ferris wheel . Another day we would ride on the Peddle Pub again food would be catered by Taa’s Foodtique . We would also go to some museums & get some history .
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My kids , my Mom, my fiancé & allllll my friends & family deserve a shoutout in my success .
