We had the good fortune of connecting with Shawna Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shawna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Working in women’s health gave me a different perspective on things such as weightloss /weightgain, hormonal issues, infertility, self care and so much more. Working with different patients allowed me to be introduced to various people wanting a solution and it ignited my passion even further to want to learn about how I could teach people. I wanted to also help them on a healthier journey to look and feel good inside and out. My initial thought with starting Femi Bella Galore was how could I provide a space for women to partake in self care and beauty but also create a path to educate them on things to better themselves inside and out. We live in a society were everything is a quick fix and I feel that proper treatment and education isnt always at the forefront. I want to be apart of the solution to provide quality services that focuses on self care and healthier choices for long term results !
What should our readers know about your business?
Femi Bella Galore means Love Me Beauty and more. I’m a woman that loves beauty and all the frills that it has to offer. I knew with starting my business I wanted to have something that was more than just your average spa. Starting my own business wasn’t easy. To be honest , I’m learning everyday. I’m a firm believer of being a student of my busines and a student of the industry that I’m in. There’s always room for growth and always something new to learn and I think that is a big point of what sets me apart. I want the best , not only for myself ,but for my clients and trainees that choose me. My business is a long term investment so it’s something that even with mistakes made I’ve learned and have been able to profit in more ways than one. Being apart of the beauty industry,
I have noticed that self care is something that I feel we take for granted . Life can be pretty hectic that we lose sight of making sure that we are a priority just as much as those that we take care of. It wasnt until I found out that I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) that I started to look at health and self care differently. With that being said, whether it’s a solution to get healthier or to simply bring back the confidence within, I want my clients to feel at their best each time they are provided a service .
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I enjoy exploring new places. I always hear people say, ” Atlanta is so small ” which can be considered true ,but Georgia is so big and full of hidden gems. Anytime my friends visit me , I’m always on the hunt for what’s new : new areas ,new dining, new events, etc. It’s always fun to play “tourist” here versus doing the norms and in crowded spaces.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Being an entrepreneur is one of the most scariest journeys that I’ve embarked on to date. So many people from friends, strangers , and family have given me the confidence and push I’ve needed when I felt like giving up. It’s been so important and rewarding to me when I tell people about my vision and they see it as clear as I do. It makes me feel that I’m living in my purpose.
