Meet Sharon Mae King | Mom, Author, Motivational Speaker, Philanthropist, Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharon Mae King and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sharon Mae, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
It’s extremely important to me to empower, motivate, encourage, unify, inspire and educate woman all over the world.

What should our readers know about your business?
I was born on March 8, 1975 in Belize City, Central America. Sharon, the youngest of her siblings, grew up in a middle class family with a maid and all the amenities that came with the lifestyle. My family moved to the United States when she was 13 years old. Gifted and persistent, Sharon quickly learned English from teachers and self-study. I am the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SharonKingWorldWide.com, SMK Beauty Collection’s & SMK Magazine headquartered in Los Angeles, California. In 2012, I authored her memoirs entitled, This is my Introduction from Me to You. Remember Me? Before working in the public relations department at Sain-City Magazine, I am a professional actress in New York City where she developed an extensive portfolio. I am very involved in civic and professional organizations. I am an active member of the African American Art Museum since 2009 and was recognized by the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs as a VIP in the 2011 – 2012 edition. I was also featured in Ellements Magazine, Diversity New Magazine and Sain-City Magazine. I am lifetime member of the International Women’s Leadership Association and was named Top Female Executive by Successful Women Making a Difference. I majored in Legal Studies at Western International University. One of my dreams was to become a Criminal Prosecuting Attorney. I kept my dream alive by advancing my career from working at a law firm in the greater Los Angeles area. I am currently working for the State of California as the Judge Secretary. I am a successful Author, Actress, Producer, Director, Business Woman and Speaker, but my biggest joy comes from being a Mother. “There is a vision for my life greater than my imagination could hold!” ~Oprah Winfrey
The lesseons I’ve learned along the way is to fear nothing but to embrace everything. What sets me apartment from others is my passionate to inspire, motivate, encourage and empower others. As a Philanthropist I interview entry level entreprenuers that are struggle to be seen and recognize. Coaching them how to market and brand themselves for no monetary gain. I love to see others winning.
