We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharekia Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sharekia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was simple. I looked for something that I enjoyed doing & was passionate about, so when I did decide to get into it full force, it wouldn’t feel like a “job” or a “hustle”, but more like a passion. I wrote up a business plan, calculated my expenses and potential profits, opened my bank account (so that I could keep my finances separate), and continued to strive for greatness.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is my hunger and my drive. I know that the market I am in is saturated but I stand behind the quality of my products and services. My personality is unmatched! My biggest goal with each encounter I have with a client/customer is to male sure they’ll return. My educational background has helped mold me into a business professional, so I did not have any hiccups in that are so far. However, I’ve learned a couple lessons along the way: make sure there are policies in place for legal purposes & also set your prices for every client to ensure fairness. My mission to make every woman or man feel beautiful after they’ve had an encounter with my business. I want the world to know that I am indeed the face of beauty & my brand will soon be worldwide!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am more of a homebody, but I do enjoy great food and nice vibes. My city’s downtown area has a hosts of restaurants where we would be able to eat, sip and listen to great music. Just to name a few: Chive Restaurant, Jazz’d Tapas Bar, 45 Bistro, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Rocks on the Rooftop & also a couple places inside the Jw Marriott. A popular place to go whether it’s a weekday or weekend is City Market. It has nightclubs, bars, restaurants and places to just grab a drink and go. A few popular places in City Market are Wet Willie’s, Tree House, Georgia Tasting Room, Sweet Melissa’s and a host of other places. We have tours and bike rides that we could also be a part of. It will all be exciting for someone who doesn’t live here!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my mom, whom is no longer here in flesh. She was my biggest supporter. My greatest mentor! It didn’t matter what route I was taking at what time in my life, she was always right beside me; cheering me on! She would randomly congratulate me or just tell me how proud she was of me & that is my reason for the ambition that I have now. If it wasn’t for her encouraging words & the way she uplifted me, I wouldn’t be where I am today!
