We had the good fortune of connecting with Shantel Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shantel, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Hello Mike and thanks for asking. The thought process behind me starting my own business is that I was helping many People move to Atlanta without understanding the research and efforts that I made to find them the right area to fit their family’s needs and even the right home. Because I wasn’t licensed, Each time They had to call a local agent to do the actual contract to officially get them the home I found.
This made me understand a gift I had and how I needed to become licensed to continue helping families and legally represent them myself. It’s been amazing!
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Realtor who delights in helping families buy and sell their homes! I am most proud of the loyalty customers show me by the awesome referrals they send my way.
I am also a landscape designer that draws the designs and hand picks the trees, shrubs, flowers and plants, making for a look deserving of the cover of a Home and Garden magazine or even a TV show!
I am again, most proud of the phone calls I get from potential customers, wanting to hire me to design their yards. It’s definitely a big deal!😊
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love music so I’d plan for my friend to come during a great concert or festival weekend. We’d start off at Taste on Lenox or Breakfast at Barney’s. We’d circle a few shops in the Westside Provisions District, come back to my place, relax out back in our beautiful shaded garden by the creek , until it’s time to get dressed.
Concerts and festivals are great here. They’re combined with music, people watching, food and product vending! I have such a great time!!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The person that deserves recognition in my story is my partner. TW, MD. I dedicate this shoutout to him because he’s forced me to recognize so many talents I possess and encouraged me to share each of them in the form of a business. So far, they have been very well received.
