We had the good fortune of connecting with Shanna Reid and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shanna, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The value or principle that matters most to me is Prayer.

I believe in the power of prayer so it keeps me grounded, purposeful and powerful. Prayer keeps my faith active and I believe that when my spiritual side is flourishing then every other area of my life will come into alignment. Through prayer I am constantly reminded of the words of God, His promises over my life and the authority that I have through Him to command all things good and prosperous and cancel anything that would want to throw me off course.

What should our readers know about your business?
GOGO with Shanna- as my slogan states; Building Confidence and Character, Empowering and Impacting. GOGO offers Christian Life Coaching to individuals who are struggling in various areas of their lives. It is aimed to assist them to overcome the obstacles that are hindering them from being their best self. I empower men and women to live more wholesome and fulfilling lives. I am most proud of the impact that i have on people that I have met on my journey. Recently I met a particular lady and her husband, she told me how she has been going through a difficult time in her life and felt as if she has lost her connection with God being so focused on her situation. We talked for a while and at the end of the conversation with tears in her eyes, she was reminded of her strength. Encounters like these proves to me that I am doing something right with what God gave me.

Another thing that I am proud of and super excited about are my books (Divine Inspirations-Devotional/Dear God-A prayer and gratitude journal) and the feedback that I have gotten from my readers. My books have opened many doors of opportunities for me and solidified that I can do anything that I put my mind to.

Considering that this business was not physical but divine it was never an easy one. I had to put aside what I felt was working for me to completely submit to the will of God and be obedient to His instructions. The beginning of my devotional, Divine Inspiration tells this story. It took a lot of sacrifice, prayer, searching the word of God and then trusting the word to get me where I am today and keep me here.

I have learnt that consistency, commitment and change are three very important ingredients to develop and maintain us as we navigate our way through life. I have also learnt that Faith can move mountains and that God has a purpose and a plan for all our lives, we just have to own it and walk into it. Wherever there is a vision, God will make provision.

The world should know that, God has deposited something valuable in you. Find it, nurture it, bring it to life. God can rewrite any story, no matter how it looks and also, it does not matter how much you think you have accomplished God still has more in store.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The beautiful parish of St Ann, Jamaica in the town of Ocho Rios with stunning beaches, breathtaking views, mouthwatering food and just a wholesome spiritual atmosphere. Lets starts the week off right, we are going to church on Sunday, after church we indulge in some Devon House Ice cream. Monday we are visiting Mystic Mountains to experience the view of the city from hundreds of feet in the air, zipline, bobsled and more. Tuesday we are singing our hearts out at Karaoke night at Oceans 11 while enjoying great food, great music and great vibes.. On Wednesday we are swimming with the dolphins at Dolphins Cove then grab a late lunch at the Ocho Rios Jerk Center. Thursday we are rocking at the popular Dunns River Falls and Friday night Plantation Smokehouse is a must. We end the week on Saturday checking out the local shops to get our souvenirs after lunch at Lindas and drinking refreshing coconut water from our streetside vendors.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to shoutout my big sister Swayne, who is my human diary, my prayer partner and biggest cheerleader. My sons, Rajhawn and Leshaun for being my motivation everyday. Crystal Daye, my publisher, friend, inspiration and role model. To all my very few close friends who keep me prayed up and ensure I stay on top of my game, I love and appreciate all of you.
