We had the good fortune of connecting with Sha-de’ Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sha-de’, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thoughts were I needed to create something of my own in which I can share with others, that will enhance and teach families and the youth.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career background includes working in the Early childhood education, primary & secondary, special education and human services. My educational background includes a Masters of Psychology. So with the combination of both I have learn how to communicate and interact with those who suffer from mental health and other adversities. These experiences are what lead me to start an nonprofit organization and publish the children’s book Today At School.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would hit a lounge in the city that has great food, music and drinks. Then find a nice park to walk along a nature trail to get those steps in. We have so many areas to site see I would say anywhere downtown or Midtown to just hang around.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes first and foremost my oldest son Khileel for providing with a different lense in the education field and mental health.

Leading our Youth Inc, board members for their support.

Then two of my coworkers Angela and Latoya.
