We had the good fortune of connecting with Serai Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Serai, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I think with balance as long as I can plan, then everything will work out. I have to remind myself, you cannot do every all at one time. You need balance pace yourself but keep consistent

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a Mom Blogger /Content creator based out of New York that moved to Atlanta. When I first started blogging it was in 2011. At the time it was about life in New York. In 2014 discovered I was pregnant and changed the narrative, starting a family my husband and I relocated to Atlanta. In this journey, we created “Dolly Always.” I guess what sets me apart from others is being so diverse. I can touch base on many topics between both states. I’m not afraid to give my opinion and share my experiences living in both. I’m most proud of becoming a mom and still producing rich content. I’m super excited to see where I go from here. I got here by being consistent and taking heartbreaking risks. Last year I quit teaching to peruse this dream more. I feel it was very hard because I enjoyed teaching but, I knew my family needed more. I needed more and at the times the workload is so overwhelming. I learned when you plan and can write down most of your ideas, my job is much easier and the delivery just flows.

That like them, the brand is human it’s not perfect and can always be better. It’s genuine, comes from the heart, and provides moms with a sense of clarity. They can always come back and learn something new.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Whenever friends visit I always introduce them to “The Beltline”.

For something to eat I love going to Minero, in the ponce city market.

When going out for drinks, I love The Garden room and the strip in East Atlanta. There you can visit places like Beer Garden and The Sound table. The most fun and interesting places are Sister Louisa’s Church, Apt 4B, and The Optimist.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Most importantly my family and to all the Mom influencers out there. My children are the reason why my stories are so rich. They give me life they’re the reason why I push so hard. To the friends who keep me on my toes and keep looking for more. It’s their energy and positive that let me know what I’m doing is important.
