We had the good fortune of connecting with Sehar Shafqat and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sehar, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was a new mom and was always taking pictures of my little ones. I decided to take the leap and start my own photography business after I had my second baby.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a full time IT Project Manager. Using the Project Management software that I use for my Photography business got me interested in the Project Management field. Studying Project Management has been an asset as I focus on client experience from start to finish.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Northern Virginia along with the sightseeing and restaurants. I would recommend a cruise dinner on the Potomac, Tyson’s Corner, Trattoria Villagio in Clifton, 2 Silos, The Black Sheep Restaurant (I am a big foodie), & Old Town Alexandria!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank God first for giving me the desire to create, my husband for purchasing me my first DSLR, my children for being cute and giving me the inspiration to improve my photography skills.
