We had the good fortune of connecting with Sedrick Montano and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sedrick, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want to represent art as an expression showed on my body , that not everyone who has tattoos is a criminal or a drug addict . I want people to remember that I helped change the way they view things in a positive prospective .
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My clothing and barber brand is called almost dead , not everyone lives but one day everyone shall pass , so my clothing brand represents live everyday like it’s your last , being a barber and being completely covered in tattoos always starts off a cool topic and let’s me get on a more personal level with my clients . I want my client to walk out happy and satisfied with he/ she haircut before they leave. I feel like people are in it for the money and the money only takes you so far, I think the dedication and the love for things will get you much farther
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I currently just moved to Georgia from Albuquerque, so I would also like to adventure and see what is out there , in New Mexico the food and art is great , so far in Georgia I like the culture and the green scenery
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to all the people who doubt me and continue to doubt me , I have a big family to support and failure is not an option, making it to the top is the dream and the goal is to stay at the top and help others always !
