We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Steiner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Scott, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Success is an interesting word with many meanings. When it comes to my business, I have no idea when, or if, I will feel like it’s a success, so I try not to focus on that. Success to me is synonymous with growth, consistently improving, by small margins, all the time.

There are two key factors behind my definition of success or growth. First is awareness. In order to continue to grow we have to be deeply aware of ourselves, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. This leads to the second factor which is self-care. I didn’t know this was a factor until I took a deeper look inside and became aware that I was neglecting it. Self-care can mean a lot of different things and it’s not the same for everyone. I’m just scratching the surface of improving in this area, but when I can pull it off it makes a very noticeable difference.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I’ve been going to live shows constantly for the past 16 years. Music is a core part of my life and serves me in so many ways, but it wasn’t until 2016 that I went to my first electronic music show. That’s all it took, one show, and I decided to build my life around it. I spent the next 2 years going to all the shows and talking to everyone so I could figure out how I could provide value in the industry. Everything bloomed from that.

In 2021, I jumped in head first and organized a festival called Rebirth in Washington, GA. It was such a special and inspiring experience. That’s when I knew I was in 100%.

I’m most excited about doing it all over again! Rebirth is back on July 13th-15th, 2023. Since the first Rebirth, we have learned so much and expanded the property by adding indoor bathrooms and heated showers, a new stage in the woods, more camping, more art installations, and a huge list of fire and circus performers! Shoutout to Beka Myers, our creative director, who makes it all look amazing in a very unique way! People can check it out at www.rebirthfest.com!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
During the week the best spot is MidCity Cafe. It’s a beautiful space in the heart of Midtown. It’s decorated with inspirations from Tulum and Playa del Carmen, music to match, and the best Danley Sound system! The people, drinks, food, and music are all to die for!

On the weekends I love to be outside. During the day we would go to a place with a patio for food and drinks. There are so many good places, but I like Wild Heaven Brewery, Grindhouse on Memorial, and Steamhouse Lounge.

Then we’d go to Piedmont Park to get a good stretch in and warm up for dancing for the rest of the night! I’d cater to their taste in music while also showing them some new stuff.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! First and foremost, all the credit goes to my mom. She continues to set a great example for me, challenges me, supports me, loves me unconditionally, and that all gives me the strength to pursue my dreams!

I have a lot of respect and appreciation for the people that have been paving the way for decades and whether they know it or not, I’ve learned a lot from what they do! Goran and Bobi/Project B., Jake Pugh/Gravity, Geoff Melton/Reflective, Keiran/Captains of Revelry and Music Room (RIP), MJ Lee and so many more. I soak up as much information as possible.

As always, a major shoutout to my partner in crime, Canvas/Rita! She’s a huge inspiration, believed in me before anyone, and has been by my side since the start!
