We had the good fortune of connecting with Sazj Ford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sazj, what is the most important factor behind your success?
That’s an easy one! Without hesitation my answer would be God. The Saved Girl Brand is built on the principal of God first and sisterhood second! Each decision and major move thus far has been filtered through prayer. It may seem tedious, but in my experience it is so necessary. There were moments when I tried to force success or growth with my own agenda and desires, but after hitting a brick wall last March, it was time to go back to God and get clarity on why our growth had slowed down. The humility required to keep Jesus at the center of your brand will cause you to be very malleable. After a few changes to the plan and a stamp of approval from above, we have now had our most successful month yet with enrollment and subscription. To ice the cake we hit 10k on our social media platform! That felt amazing!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The Saved Girl Brand serves Christian women in several different capacities. When you first get connected to our social media there is daily content to help encourage you to make the most of each day keeping your faith first. The opportunities to grow with us don’t stop there. We categorize our platform as a sisterhood and thats what sets us a part. You don’t just gain access to weekly Bible Study and monthly master classes, you gain life long friendship. The cherry on top of it all is that each woman who gets connected with us gains access to our free group chat where we talk all things life and faith! As you become familiar with our community you can apply for our semi-annual mentorship program that works directly with me 1-on-1 to help develop your relationship with Christ! Everything we offer in The Saved Girl Community was created out of a need. So many women desire a relationship with God, but lack the support to do so successfully. Here, We solve that problem. The solution is sisterhood. Our community builds a bridge of women who lock arms with each other, we leave no sister behind and whether its your first day in Christ or your 10th year trusting God there is room for you here.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A weekend with me would start off at home with morning prayer and devotion. Let’s unload all the stress before we have fun, and what better way than to cast all our cares on the one who cares the most. Our next stop would be breakfast at one of my hometown’s hidden gems- Brew Bakers. They have the BEST smoked salmon you will ever taste. After breakfast I’d drive you up to Mohegan Sun for some go kart racing and shopping. After we have worked up an appetite I’d set our dinner reservations. Dinner would be a hard choice for me to choose from since there are so many great restaurants here, but knowing myself, we would end up at L’Orcio, a fabulous Italian spot in the heart of New Haven,CT. After a good night’s rest with a happy stomach we would rise and shine for church. Sunday we would spend the day fellowshipping while hearing a sermon at church and then to back to my place for a home cooked Sunday dinner!

The Saved Girl community is filled with women who love, support and encourage each other daily! There are leaders in the community who voluntarily serve in different roles that keep us moving and growing daily. If anyone deserves a shout out it would be the fabulous women who make up this community!
