We had the good fortune of connecting with Saundra Williamson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Saundra, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Making the decision to leave Corporate America after 24yrs and INVEST IN MEEEEEEEE. Fear is a spirit and it will keep you bound in so many ways if you let it. when I decided to invest in me, with a lot of hesitation, doubt concern, and fear I had to show Saundra what she can do, I had to Believe in Saundra, Win for Saundra, Fail for Saundra, Grow for Saundra, Fight for Saundra, take criticism for Saundra, make lots of mistakes for Saundra. Time is a true asset that you will never get back and when someone else own your time, controls your life, your under their rules, jurisdiction and more; its hard to WINNN and you will always be STUCK in your real passion and dreams to do something BIGGGGER THAN YOUUU. I begin to walk by Faith and not by sight and WINNNNN for not only me, but my family and families I’ve never met.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from other financial businesses is my FIGHT and PASSION to win for families without them paying me nothing but to WIN for their families and pay it forward!!!

DNA Financial Services is a family business and my first legacy transfer to my 6 children. Families struggle with talking about finances with their spouse, their family, children, even their own financial planner, broker and/or advisor because they do not understand, and they lack basic financial knowledge to make the best financial decision for themselves and their families. Charity starts at home is a well known quote, however, financial knowledge should start at home. DNA financial services bring financial concepts to the family’s kitchen table so families can be better informed about financial matters and begin breaking generational financial curses and create generational wealth with financial solutions they can afford and trust.

I WIN in my business and for families because I am connected to a powerful financial platform called WSB (World System Builders) A platform that is revolutionizing the financial industry by bringing Wall Street to Main Street. Many of our licensed financial professionals are working moms, dads, CPA’s, business owners, retirees, truck drivers, corporate professionals, IT professionals, doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, college students, and more from all walks of life. Our mission is to financially educate 30 Million families by 2030 by teaching families how to build a strong financial future, manage their debt, properly prepare for their children’s college education, protect their wealth, and transfer wealth to the next generation.

Building a business takes a lot of work. All I can say is “If you’re not ready to be uncomfortable in all areas of your life, you’re not ready to start a business in any way.” Don’t even waste your money and time. Your level of discipline on all levels, consistency, and commitment to being uncomfortable are some of the key factors to winning in business.

I want the world to know God is your compass in business, without an intimate relationship with the Father you are DOA (Dead on Arrival) I’m learning and have learned to consult with GOD in my day-to-day business. Once you understand and submit to his plan/ways and not your plan/ways then your business will thrive. What is for you will be for you NO MATTER WHAT. When God makes you a promise NO MAN CAN STOP your WINNNN. I know God is planning my business because he connected us for this interview through Bessie.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a simple woman and some might disagree (my kids, and sisters. LOL) I am not picky at all (WINK. WINK) Dancing has always made me feel alive and relaxes me in so many ways. Being a mom is the best job in the world to me and singing in my church choir is my first love. If I can wear purple every day I will. I should have been a food critic in a past life because I love to eat and give my opinion on the food I eat. I surround myself around good company and individuals that push me to win and to be better than the day before. I surround myself around individuals who love GOD and respect his presence. My network is my net worth $$$$$ and making a new connection with someone is my daily goal.

I would first ask my mom if she would cook (FOR REAL MY MOM IS THE BEST COOK EVERRRRRR) I want everyone to try my moms food first before any restaurant. If she is tired (LOL) The agenda will go a little like this.

Pre-homework first for the week long trip.

1. Every day will be filled with a confirmed agenda with locations, specific times, dress code, atmosphere, expectations from venue, parking options, what’s in the surround areas for after party options, food allergies, what the venue is know for so one can dress accordingly if its a theme etc., financial budget (you can party on a budget any day), and of course surprises because I love loving on people and I love surprisesssssssss (Who doesn’t love a spontaneous surprise???) Also, did I mention I will have a contingent plan, we alllll know things doesn’t go as plan, right???? a back-up plan will be in place. .

2. We will do some good ole fashion Karaokee, shopping, activities, time for them to explore on their own, experience some live music indoor or outdoor where we can dance the night awayyyy.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My first shout out is to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. My church family Destiny Worship Center in Chicago; Pastor DeAndre Patterson and his beautiful wife Patricia Patterson and my new church family, Christ The King Church; Senior Pastor Marion Sailor affectionately known as Pastor MiMi. My siblings, my grandmother Gladys Jones may she rest in heaven and my all time #1 fan’s my mother; Sandra Plunkett, my up close and personal, tell it like it is, its tight but its right, my I don’t care what they say, my personal chef, my way out of no way, (My EVERYTHING) my children Triniece, Christian, Satoris, Cornell Jr., Kyrene, Nolan and my G-Baby Nova (MY #1 FANS, my reason why I work hard and fight daily)
