We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Hartman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sara, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Our Peace Of Mind Expo was created with the idea to have an event where the community can come to gain knowledge, experience holistic & wellness modalities and be immersed in a like-minded community in the Atlanta area.

Our vision for producing this expo is to bring awareness and education in a safe space with loving, positive energy. Our hope is that each visitor takes away a sense of inner peace not only from the modalities and therapies they may receive, the wellness products available and the connections they acquire over the weekend, but also the information they can refer to long after they leave.

Our expo serves as a hub for community building. It brings together like-minded individuals who share an interest in holistic wellness and spiritual growth, fostering connections, and providing a supportive environment for individuals to share experiences and resources

By offering free speakers, we provide valuable access to knowledge and information on holistic wellness practices, spiritual growth, the healing properties of gems and so many other topics. This empowers individuals within the community to explore alternative approaches to health and well-being.

The speakers at our expo serve as sources of inspiration and motivation for attendees. Their stories, insights, and expertise inspire individuals to take proactive steps towards improving their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. This motivational aspect of our event is invaluable in encouraging positive lifestyle changes and the pursuit of holistic healing modalities.

Also by featuring local vendors and practitioners, we actively support small businesses within the community. This not only helps these businesses thrive but also contributes to the economic growth and vitality of the local area.

In this time of spiritual awakening, people are looking for answers and we are here to help them find what they are looking for.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve spent the last 14 years working in the film industry on movies and TV shows as a Key 2nd Assistant Director. In addition to that, I’ve created my own Organic Beeswax Candle Company, and also coordinated successful Holistic Expos with my mom in Pennsylvania (where I’m originally from).

What sets me apart from others is my unwavering dedication to continuous growth and learning, coupled with a genuine passion for making a positive impact. I thrive in dynamic environments where I can apply my creativity, problem-solving skills, and strong work ethic.

My journey of moving up through the film industry has been incredibly challenging with the long hours and the stress that comes with the industry and position. With the lack of free time in my personal life, I’ve realized how important and how valuable my time is. Dedicating some of my free time in more spiritual, & wellness based endeavors has helped me personally as well as brought me joy in connecting with others in the wellness community.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta has had my heart from the moment I moved here.

I’m a huge coffee lover so I would most likely start every day with a cup from a different coffee spot. Inman Perk coffee is my favorite! I would take her on the Belt Line to enjoy moments of people watching, walking and showing the special spots along the path, like Lady Bird!

Piedmont park is an absolute must of course! I find myself walking there by myself often.

I’d love to take her to a show at City Winery. Their food and wine there is incredible.

Some other spots I love is the Krog Street Market for a variety of food options, Kevin Rathhbuns steakhouse, Barcelona Wine Bar, Brunch at Bread & Butterfly, Highland Bakery (my very fist meal I ever had in Atlanta.)

I would show her the eclectic neighborhoods of Virginia Highlands as well as the cool stores in Little 5 Points like Crystal Blue & Criminal Records!

Before she leaves I would make sure she experienced the High Museum of Art, The Atlanta Street Art Murals and the Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site!

You also can’t leave Atlanta without throwing in a Hawks or Braves game!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In my story, what I have accomplished today and who I’ve become I absolutely have to recognize and give thanks to my mom, Nancy. She not only has been an inspiration my entire life but she also my partner in our Holistic Expo here in Atlanta.

As she watched me grow up and continuously showed me love and support, I’ve also watched her grow.
One of the most inspiring qualities about my mom is her endless capacity for love and generosity. She has always put the needs of others before her own. her selflessness and willingness to help others have taught me the importance of empathy and giving back to the community.

Moreover, my mom has shown me the power of perseverance and hard work. Despite facing setbacks and setbacks, she never gave up on her dreams and always pursued them with dedication and determination. Her resilience in the face of adversity has taught me the value of perseverance and never losing hope, no matter how challenging the circumstances may seem.

My mom doesn’t inspire my story, she’s a part of my story. She’s why I have a story.
