We had the good fortune of connecting with Sanjay Small and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sanjay, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
For me it’s all about proper marketing and having the right persons to be working with knowing that you’re well dedicated and consistent in what you do, also always have everything write down and if you back up on a road black skip it and then come back to it another time but never make one thing have you can’t move on or set you back for too long, try to find another another way to execute your plans.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being a Dancehall artist for me wasn’t easy for one because I never knew how to read notes or to hold a key I remember joining Adventist choir and I even fall my first try but I keep at it abs never stop until when it was graduation time I still wasn’t ready but because I was consistent and never give up little by little I own my craft I remember I use to mimic everyone until I earn my own style and sound after years of studying the business the right way I truly reach a point I’m ready to take in the world now I may not be the best but with my knowledge of the business I’m more better on how to market myself and build around a good team and coworkers to put in the work with the right way smartly

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For me if my bestie Kiltalya should come Jamaica to chill out I would say visit my home Community in Guava Gap Kingston 9 St. Andrew differently from that I would say take her to many of our side food shop knowing she love food and must of the time we would just keep events in my community knowing it’s all about who you spend your time with really and have go to events that her artist Dexta Daps, Bad Gyal Jade and shenseea would be.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to take the time out to give a special shout out to kyoni Recordz inc for giving my first Official strength in the music business, DJ Lafy Trey for being my best coworker and also Canjam Muzik for also supporting me in my growth also Betty Luv, my mother Margaret Hunter, Gyal Ediot a artist that never leave me out, Samora as a Artist I look up, Bad Gyal Jade, besties Kiltalya Washington, Sharifa, Taylor, my mentor Ginger Gypsy, Cleopatra and Vybz Kartel for his marketing skills in the music Industry and for book the 47 law of power the best book everyone need to checkout
