Meet Sandra Porter: PMA & MPH

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sandra Porter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sandra, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create a brand that did not only leave your skin looking flawless, but also treating other imperfections. I wanted to build on a brand that catered to sensitive skin and very affordable.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m currently a medical student and I am hoping to expand on my business. With my biology background, I was able to work with a fellow chemist who assisted me with my formula for my vegan products. Along the way, I’ve learned that you cannot look to your friends for support; your business should not be limited and instead, do not take anything personally. Expand on your business so that you can create a more tasteful story in the future.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Trip in Atl, Foodie: Breakfast: pig and pearl, milk & honey American Deli (west end), Atown wings, that Burger Spot Dinner: Sundial, Kiku’s, Juicy Crab, Ray’s on the River, Club/ lounge: Magic City, Onyx, Suite Lounge Shopping: Phipps, Lenox mall, atl station and North Georgia Premium Outlets Outings: Ponce City Market, Downtown Atl, world of Coca-Cola, Grant Park, A drive around the city: highlighting historical buildings/ HBCU’s – Clark Atlanta University, AUC

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God and Family There isn’t a clear distinction on a particular figure that has helped me shape my business. My bf at the time designated a lot of time to help me with production and my sisters assisted me with naming and color ranges. My friends were the people to sample the products and help formulate the skin care contents.
