We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Bush and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought behind starting my own business was acknowledging the passion and drive I have for food and making different creation with food.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My Name is Chef Samantha Bush! Starting my career as a young driven entrepreneur was always the goal. I have had this vision since my youth. Now I’m starting to see it as reality. I have work for many awesome companies including; University of Alabama as a Chef, Norwegian Cruise Line Cook in Hawaii, Chief Steward on a civilian Navy Ship in Japan, Cook in Costa Rica on a research Ship and Private Chef at my own company ROSIE LEE CHEF SERVICES. I have the pleasure of working with some profound people. Military, business owners, celebrities, and etc.

THE thing that set me apart from most chef is even when there’s a bad day I’m always going to keep the momentum and awesome smile. I treat everyone like family and have a passion for what I do. I am most proud of and excited for all my accomplishments. If I spoke on something it always manifest. It’s a beautiful thing. I would say professionally where I am today is where I always dreamed to be, but it’s only the beginning. In life nothing is ever easy. We just learn to pick our battles and proceed with the process. Never give up the reward is greater. With challenges happening the best way to overcome them is to not think negative. Just keep a clear vision and it will work out. The lessons I have learned along the way is to never stop learning and that you don’t know it all. Never feel like someone else can’t give you helpful information. The world should know that my brand and story is all in one inclusive vision. I was born in Gainesville Florida, and raise in Alabama. I was poor and watching cooking shows was good for me. Julia Childs, Rachael Ray, or Emeril. I had my vision and I never gave up on that. I was never a follower, but born a LEADER. I was always different. My company, Rosie Lee Chef Services is a all American Black owned Personal Chef/ Private Chef, MEAL PREP operation. We specialize in giving gourmet meals and dining experience to our clients. We become family and meet all culinary needs. We also offers help with weight loss plans, virtual zoom classes, cooking lesson, and etc. We give you more than a meal.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I was hanging with friends, we would definitely go to Atlanta Georgia or New Orleans, Louisiana. In Atlanta we would visit the Breakfast at Barney’s restaurant and do other activities. In new Orleans we would go anywhere Well the BB king restaurant. I love the vibe down south. We never met strangers and the hospitality is always awesome.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First I want to start with giving God praise for keeping me humble and sane. To my Beautiful wife who always goes up and beyond , thank you! I love you so much! To my family who has believed in my vision and listen to me thank you for that. To my awesome friends who are more like family thank y’all!
