We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabrina Jenkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sabrina, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My transparency with other women.
I’ve been on the battlefield, with emotional, mental , and physical abuse. So l can encourage and motivate because I’ve walked on that path. We may not share the same size, but the brand of the shoe is the same.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m the Founder/Ceo of Destiny Dash Brunch Club LLC. Our motto is #morethanbrunch because we are. We are currently 81 members strong and growing. I think what sets us a part from other brunch group is that we are truly a sisterhood and we give back to our community. We have several members that have their own Non-profit Organizations and we donate our time, energy, and finances to assist them in anyway needed.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
They would probably arrive on Saturday. I would pickup from the airport and we would go to Nouveau in College Park for lunch. The seafood and grits are the best in the city! We would then take a ride to downtown Atlanta for some sightseeing. That night we would have dinner at Apt 4B in Buckhead. The Oxtail Pasta is to die for. We would end the night at the Cigar City Lounge in Roswell.
We would wake up and have Sunday brunch at my newest favorite find, Whiskey Tees on Hwy 138. It’s the Lamb Chops over Gouda Grits.
Lawdddddd those grits make you wanna slap someone’s mama, but not mine!! Lol
Then I’m dropping her back off at the airport because l have work on Monday
OAN-Every placed mentioned is “BLACK OWNED ”
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe all of my success to the women l call my sisters! There would be no DDBC, if it wasn’t for them. They believed in my vision from the very start. They encouraged me and they never let me give up. There were times that l was tired, frustrated, and not focused. They fixed my crown and told me, YOU GOT THIS
