Meet Ryan Marcus | Writer, Actor, Singer, Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Marcus and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ryan, why did you pursue a creative career?
I think I’ve always been an artistic and creative person my whole life. I starting off drawing when I was younger, to writing short stories. I believe one of my first childhood dreams was to actually be a writer. I also came from a musical family and loved to sing and be in front of the camera when I was younger. So as the years went by I continued to pursue these passions. I was in chorus in middle and high school. I would do school plays and fashion shows. Eventually I even majored in music in college with a minor in mass communications. It’s always been a passion of mine and something I love to do. So I think it was only natural that I would pursue some type of career in the creatives.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The thing about it is my “brand” is actually very new and fresh. I’ve only been really seriously doing things since 2018, when I got out of a long term relationship and needed something else to fill my time. lol. But no, I was not easy to get into. But the more I actually put myself out there, the easier it would become each time. The main thing about my brand and Ryan Marcus I want the world to know is that I’m not a one trick pony. I honestly love to do it ALL. From writing, to singing, to modeling, to songwriting, to acting, to directing…and I literally have done all of that. And as my career progresses I hope for people to continue to see my name in many different places under many different categories.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots include Stone Mountain Park. It a nice hike up the mountain, plus beautiful scenery and other fun family friendly activities to do in the Village. I also enjoy visiting Piedmont Park and Centennial Olympic Park and its surrounding attractions like the Georgia Aquarium. I’m honestly not really a clubber or partier like that but I might take my friend to Bulldogs bar one night because i know the drinks will be strong and the club will be packed. We might go to a drag show somewhere. We definitely find stuff to do. It’s Atlanta. There’s always something going on.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First, giving honor to God. Then ofcrures my parents who have always been supportive and encouraging of me and everything I’ve pursued over the years. I’ve also like to give a shoutout to AconnectionTV and Wesley Henderson, who’s been the main producer and developer of my film work lately. Also, Toni Bernard, my best friend/brother/ride or die, who’s always been by my side.
