We had the good fortune of connecting with Roxanne Lowery and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Roxanne, what do you attribute your success to?
There are external and internal factors responsible for all that Infinite Flow has been, is now and is becoming.
The most important internal factor is my approach and my intention. I open my heart more each and every day. I prioritize care and compassion. I see the beauty and essence of each person who sits with me. I attune myself and allow Spirit to utilize me as an instrument of the highest and best for each client. I contemplate, pray and prepare for each client, each session. I hold a space just to be.
The most important external factor is the readiness, willingness and devotion of all of my clients to their own path of consciousness. The expanding YES…
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Infinite Flow is an experience: of space; of stillness and peace; of quickening and awakening; of exploration and understanding; of connection and compassion; of depth; of love.
We create experiences to journey people through consciousness and transformation. Infinite Flow’s deepest roots are in therapeutic sound, awareness and consciousness training, transformational and healing modalities and compassion, care and love. We offer group sound immersions, private individual and group sessions, ceremonies, rituals, deepening experiences and sound/gong workshops, trainings and classes.
My focus is on creating a container of care and aligned work for clients to have the highest and best experience for their personal growth and transformation. We are present together, sharing love and compassion, holding the space for whatever arises to be loved into wholeness, deeply integrating the work of the soul and spirit.
Infinite Flow is the culmination of my 38 years exploring and working in consciousness, transformation and creative expression. I am a certified Therapeutic Sound practitioner, currently working in ambient mode sound therapy. I have a depth of experience in many modalities including kinesiology, the ReUnion Process, PSYCH-K, The Reconnection/Reconnective Healing and Auric Light Alchemy.
When I founded Infinite Flow, there was the experience of “right time, right place,” both for me and for this work and practice in Atlanta. Opening the practice was like getting into the middle of a gently moving stream. It was as easy as wading in, paying attention to each step I took and then lowering myself into the water. There has been so much grace in each movement of the practice. I am grateful for the ways that I can be awake, alert and aware of how to nurture and grow this creation.
I believe that we have opportunities for personal growth, development and maturity in all that we are, share and do. Two of the choices I made to develop the business component of the practice come to mind.
I took a few amazing business start-up courses specifically designed for artists. The success of the practice is in no small measure due to the solid business plan, growth maps and knowledge that came out of these basic trainings. Immersing myself in these basic concepts was fundamentally vital to my ability to found and build this practice. It also opened my awareness to aspects of my own “internal operating procedures” as well as further developed my ability to broaden my perspectives.
Another game changer was experiencing Jen Mazer and her beautiful work through her Manifestation Masters course. I rewrote my perspective on being uncomfortable and transformed those experiences into signals for curiosity and possibilities. My ability to take action with ease multiplied exponentially. It was an important step in forming my entrepreneurial DNA.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Immersion in joy, delight, wonder and experiences that feed my mind, body, senses, spirit and soul are always a priority!
Priority one: creating. Whether a session at Mud Fire, Decatur Glass Blowing or Garage Door Studios, a private course taught by an accomplished local artist or classes at centers like Callanwolde or Spruill, we are happiest when we are creating.
Priority two: adventure. A new way anywhere can hold a surprise. Picking an unfamiliar road and driving through town towards the unexplored. Choosing a compass direction and taking the old roads to a small town way out there; bonus for finding unpaved roads. A proper day trip to Serenbe, Lakemont, McCaysville/Copperhill, Mentone, Sylva.
Priority three: inspiration. Bookstores in any form—the biggest yes! A Cappella is lovely and amazing. Atlanta Vintage Books is the place I can most easily lose two hours. BN for periodical meanderings. Quirky/Arty/Nuts and Bolts: Richard’s Variety Store, Dick Blick, Sam Flax, Binders, any old hardware store where the aisles are tight and items in the store may be older than you. Art Strolls and Studio Visits: studio visits are like manna from heaven.
Priority four: transcendence. Floasis. Fernbank Planetarium and Observatory. (Eagerly awaiting the reopening of Agnes Scott’s Bradley Observatory…). Any time alone and still in a sacred space; St. Philip’s and their labyrinth, The Church at Ponce and Highland, BAPS mandir, the Chapel at Callaway Gardens, any waterfall.
Priority five: being. Truly just being together is the highest priority. And that can happen anywhere. Driving around in the car. On a porch. At a neighborhood pocket park. Long, leisurely lunch almost anywhere. Slung up on a sofa at home or sprawled on a king bed in a hotel.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am blessed to have a circle of loving beings that have all made Infinite Flow flourish.
My husband and partner Peter’s ever-present willingness and care impacts the work on a daily basis. He is my rock.
My best friends, Robin and Tracy, are my life’s Board of Directors. They are the godmothers of this practice. Their love and belief are the foundation on which this creation is built.
I am also grateful beyond measure to an extraordinary group of collaborators, colleagues and Spirit Sisters and Brothers—a tribe of consciousness workers—with whom to create offerings and to share love, encouragement, wisdom and care. My sound teachers and mentors, from Tom Kenyon to Wendy Price and Stephanie Rooker to Mitch Nur, all have my undying gratitude, appreciation and respect.
Infinite Flow’s circle of clients is a circle of beloved beings, all bright, shining lights; it is my life’s honor to bring the work to them.
I am in awe of the beautiful dance that life truly is. In my clearest alignment, I feel connection with each being I encounter. I experience the way we impact each other. We have the opportunity to inscribe our love and care, our compassion and kindness on each others’ hearts. From this space, how can we not acknowledge each and all?
