We had the good fortune of connecting with Rosirma Corney and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rosirma, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The inception of Road 2 Resilient stemmed from an unforeseen event in 2019, when I was unexpectedly laid off from my job as a Physician Associate. This experience led me on a journey from feeling rejected to cultivating resilience. Along the way, I documented my personal growth and mental health improvement in the form of a book. It serves as a testament to this notion, inspiring others to embark on their own journey towards resilience and encouraging them to embrace the unpredictability of life. Road 2 Resilient is not merely a destination, but a continuous journey of self-discovery and personal development.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a Haitian American Physician Associate, I stand out amidst the diversity of races and nationalities in my chosen career. My passion lies in delving into various medical realms, including Family Medicine, Breast Health, Corrections Medicine, and Gastroenterology. The journey of practicing medicine for 18 years has been anything but smooth. It has been a tumultuous path marked by encounters with demanding supervising physicians, challenging patients, and moments of professional uncertainty leading to termination. Yet, I weathered it all, fueled by my unwavering compassion for others and unshakeable faith in myself and a higher power to guide me. This strenuous voyage taught me to perceive individuals through the lens of divine perspective, transcending my own biases. Today, I want the world to recognize my unwavering resilience, forged through the numerous trials that have woven themselves into the fabric of my life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my friend to Coca Cola, Aquarium followed by dining at Stats or McCormicks The next day, go to the Mall of Georgia for shopping
The following day, they visit Decatur for their boutiques and find an ethnical restaurant.
Then to Atlantic station, to eat then to Millenium Museum heading towards High Museum for more art. End the tour at Cheesecake Factory for dessert

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would first thank God for encouraging me along the way as I entered, went through and exited the storm. My aunt, Mrs. Rodriguez and Mrs. Morris for checking on me during the life difficulty. And Mr. A.C for uplifting me when I was low.
