We had the good fortune of connecting with Ronetta Jenkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ronetta, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Like any entrepreneur, God gives you a vision and most of the time we don’t quite understand the vision in itself. But I always had a thing for the beauty industry. I was always into hair extensions and getting dolled up to feel good. I loved supporting under blacked owned hair business as well as hair stylist but I figured why not create my own and help other women build up their confidence not only through my product but through my story.
I remember thinking long and hard about the name and one day it came to me what exemplifies attractive and beauty in one word! That’s when I was able to define alluring (attractive) Allure (beauty) and I loved Allur’IN With the a twist.
I wanted to provide a product that makes men or woman feel amazingly beautiful with Allur’IN rich hair extensions.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Allur’IN Rich hair extensions is as we know a hair extensions company. Allur’IN Rich Hair Extensions was inspired by the beauties around me and knowing what it feels like not being able to afford luxury hair or great quality hair. Growing up, I’ve always lacked confidence in my appearance. It wasn’t until I had my first luxury install that I realized the different things the right hair allows you to do. I fell in love with how hair can change a woman’s/men’s mood, appearance, and confidence.
I am here today from consistency, determination and manifestation.
I will say nothing about this journey has been easy and as I am still new to the beauty industry, I am always learning, growing and finding new ways to succeed.
There will be days when I don’t make a sell or I don’t see family or friends sharing my business and I get discouraged. But through adversity I keep believing in my business I continue promoting my business and I continue to research ways to take my business to the next level.
I am hoping to get a point where I can open my own black owned beauty bar.
I want the world to know Allur’IN Rich Hair comes from a place of love and wanting my product to make each individual who supports feel beautiful.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I will like to shoutout my brother Shamar for always believing in me and my vision. I would like to thank him for always telling me he’s proud and always showing his support through platforms. I am extremely grateful to those who have supported me with something as little as word of mouth or just a purchase in itself or even sharing or following Allur’IN Rich Instagram.
Thank you a million times. I am forever grateful and hope I can continue to expand and those who are following will expand with me.
