We had the good fortune of connecting with Ronald Flowers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ronald, what is the most important factor behind your success?
When it comes to my art I believe loving the work do it the driving force. What I think of my own work it what’s fuels me. Keeps me grounded and makes sure that I stay true to myself.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started my journey just taking phone picture for a friend who was an influencer. The content was well thought out and made me want to do more visuals. Being a fashion major and having an art background made that super easy to do. 8 years later and here we are.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite location to shoot in the city of New York is definitely anywhere gritty. I love a contrast between hard and soft. Chic and grungy at the same time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shout-out my fashion teacher in high school. Her words still haunt me about how I’m so special and need to start getting in my own way.
