Meet Romney Lewis | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Romney Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Romney, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Comparison is the thief of joy” is a mantra I try to live by. In this industry sometimes you get caught up looking at everybody else when you only really need to be looking at yourself. Everybody has a different trajectory and their moments happen at different times. Enjoy the process, enjoy where you’re at and try to out-do yourself. I love comparing Romney to Romney and not to anyone else. I’m a one of kind artist and my art stands alone.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think we are all the same. I’m relatable and the stories I tell in my music represents that. I’m about unity and being able to relate to the next person. My life journey has had ups and downs, just like everybody else and if you listen closely to my music, I highlight that. I’m also about growth and challenging yourself. I challenge myself to grow as an artist and as a man. My content highlights growth, life, success, failures, happiness and sadness.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To be honest, any brunch on any day would be great. I have no specific place that comes to mind.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Beats By Eclipse is my brother, my engineer, DJ, and producer. That’s my right hand and he’s responsible for curating the sound and vibe of my music. I’ve known him for about a decade but we started working together exclusively in 2016. Every idea sonically that I have, I run it by him. He’s super talented and a good friend. He deserves all the praise, every step of the way.
