We had the good fortune of connecting with Rohan Beckford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rohan, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
When things get harder it’s most important to keep going forward. Not giving up in the journey when it become more challenging reflects that you’re on to something greater. Keep faith and believe in yourself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Firstly, I am a songwriter, performing artist. I started my own record label back in 2019 and I am working on my music as well consulting artist, independent labels on different strategies and techniques to make effective marketing and branding decisions for fan base and more. Coming from New York City I always been in the sales industry, so I learned how to overcome objections and deal with different trials and tribulations and become a problem solver, so moving to Atlanta, Georgia was a major challenge, but I’m proud of myself for not giving up and going back to New York when things got hard as well working on where I was able to connect with taste makers and social lights and entertainers and other consultants to establish my niche in business life insurance, personal credit and marketing strategies. What I learned along the way was put God first focus on personal development. Focus on my business and be very mindful of the company that I kept so I don’t get drawn to the bottom of the barrel. It was definitely not an easy road but to whom much is given much is tested, so I am grateful for the obstacles because it brought a different level of character building for me where I can actually establish new relationships And cultivate new business opportunities for myself and colleagues who do business with. What I want people to know about my brand and my story is that it’s important to never give up on yourself never give up on your brand no matter how many people want you a part of their team. Make sure that you solidify your team and your business first.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For someone coming to Atlanta, Georgia I would definitely say the nightlife is cool but if you want to have a great view of the city is important to go to the aquarium, the zoo, even taking the hop on hop off bus going to the sporting areas going to a few concerts. There’s always something going on in Atlanta seven days a week Stone Mountain or even just a nice hotel or hanging out in local venues or bars and restaurants in Buckhead there’s so much to see so much to do in Atlanta and if it was from New York or Jamaica, so many places and so many people to see.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am truly grateful to be part of a community that inspires greatness. I want to thank Heavenly Father and Mother for keeping me focused on my journey even when the obstacles are overwhelming. As well, my Earthly parents for encouraging me even when they are not understanding of my vision. Thirdly, my fiancée who’s been my confidant, insider support, to heal me when the world comes crashing on my shoulders. Knowing I have this support fuels me to make sure my children will benefit from my labor and networks.
