We had the good fortune of connecting with Rodney Ellis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rodney, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
In 2003 I wanted to find a way to take myself off the streets and start my own business so I thought to myself what could I do legally that would still help me and family financially, only I could think of at time was atlanta entertainment industry which was booming at the time!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
At the present moment I have been blessed to film a few of my concepts from years ago! And currently I have a movie in the works!
Transitioning from the streets wasn’t easy though, because the entertainment industry is very cut throat!
But I thought of my love ones and kept focusing on making them proud of me!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well at my age my friends would enjoy fishing at West Point lake in Lagrange Georgia and Sunday nights at uptown comedy club in Atlanta Shopping would also be on the menu and topping the week off with a visit to the winery in Buford Georgia
Oh I can’t forget a couple days of grilling and card games (Spades)

I give credit to my friend’s family and constituents for believing in my creativity!
