We had the good fortune of connecting with Robert Wiggins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robert, why did you pursue a creative career?
When I entered adulthood, I began realizing that I had a gift and an eye for creativity. I was a pretty good writer, but I realized I had a developing love for photography. Photography has opened many opportunities for me to travel, make new experiences and also for me to meet new people along the way. Not only has it been an expression of my creativity, but it was also a means that connected me to my grandfather who also did photography.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
By day, when I am not being creative behind the camera, I am working with children who have autism. Daily, I work with my clients to improve behaviors, but more importantly teach them various ways to become independent thinkers and to give them the tools to do so successfully. I have worked with children as early as 14 years old and I am currently 32 years old now ( that is a very long time), but through each stage of my life I have worked with children in many different mediums. Whether in the classroom, or in extracurricular activities. Getting to where I am professionally has been a long road, but certainly not easy. I have been driven to see change within the field of education, so I decided to become the change I desire to see, so I have returned to school myself to complete my Bachelors degree and will be working on my masters degree eventually as well. My goal is to add new ways to educate the youth while also teaching them how to become highly functioning adults who are creative, expressive, communicate well and are driven individuals as well.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would recommend all the restaurants in Alpharetta. I admit, I love the variety of foods that you can find there. Whether you desire Greek, Thai, Japanese, or even chicken wings, I feel any restaurant in Alpharetta has you covered. The energy there is homely, the people are lively and very friendly as well

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have many shoutouts and would not be here if it were not for these individuals who impacted me strongly throughout various seasons in my life. I want to shoutout my two beautiful daughters. They are my driving force towards success. They motivate me daily and keep me focused on my goals. They have taught me unconditional love that surpasses all understanding. I truly love my babies! I also want to shoutout their mother who blessed me with the gift of my children. She’s overall an incredible mom and an integral part of my children growing into the amazing young ladies that they are. I’d like to also shoutout my parents, my mother who always showed me compassion and embodies kindness. She’s always been in my corner through every season and I am thankful for her. I’d like to shoutout my father as well. He’s shown me true drive and has always taught me to work hard. I’ve learned ambition from him and he’s one of the reasons I aim high for my goals. I’d also like to shoutout my little brother as well. I’m thankful for him. His passion to be great at whatever he does is admirable and I’m grateful for be his older brother.
