We had the good fortune of connecting with Robert Holborough and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Robert, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
As they say ” No risk, no reward”…….At the end of the day you have to bet on yourself and the most high….It was a risk for me to against my family and everything they stood for by choosing to do Music and while it may have not been as financially beneficial and has definitely been spiritually fulfilling….
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is purely me, I am one who does not open up or talk much about what’s going on in my life much so my music is my therapy…….I’ve overcome everything from homelessness to self doubt to basically just wanting to call it quits and thru it all my music has been the thing keeping me alive….You have no idea of the impact you have until someone tells you that your music saved their life…..
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is bet on yourself, no one can tell you what is best for you but you……
As far as my story goes I just want the people to know that I am them, no matter what your going thru in life there is someone out here fighting for you and yours l….
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Coming to Atlanta soon I would checkout Music Monday’s ATL @Gallery992, I’d also check out 12 cocktail bar at Ponce City Market, as well as Best End Brewing Co. on Wednesdays then if your still in town you definitely gotta checkout Bonfire ATL on a Sunday Night…
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shout-out to every and anybody who is out their chasing their dreams and going for what they believe in despite the odds …..There are way too many people to name that I admire and who have played apart in me getting to where I am at today …..
