Meet Robert Harris | Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Robert Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robert, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a creative career, because it was in my nature to do so. The art of creativity has been apart of me since I was a child. I always had a broad imagination, which allowed me to truly express myself and bring my ideas into fruition. When I got older I discovered that there were multiple career paths that I could pursue that compliment my creativity. The creative career path that I chose to pursue perfectly aligns with my nature and my life purpose.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m the founder of the clothing brand Stylistic Science. This brand embodies the various elements of science and knowledge converted into modern day street wear.

What sets my brand apart from others is my end goal, which is to positively influence the masses of people, by educating and empowering them through clothing.

One thing I’m proud about is that I developed my own iOS mobile game app that ties in with my brand. My app is called ‘Don’t Be A Hypebeast’, which is a modern day arcade-style shooting game with an urban vibe. This game also has a “shop feature”, which allows you to purchase my Stylistic Science clothing directly on the app!

I got to where I am today by hard work and consistency. It wasn’t necessarily easy, I did face some challenges, such as time management. I had a difficult time releasing new clothing throughout the years, because of my overwhelming schedule. I’m the owner of a design agency as well, so I had to consistently focus on managing that, as well as working a full time job as a graphic designer. I overcame this challenge, by simply improving my organization skills.

Some lessons I learned along the way were to never get sidetracked and to always stay focused.

I want the world to know that my brand is deeper than clothing, it is a establishing culture that represents empowerment and consciousness.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shout out my parents and sister. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for them. They have been always supporting me in all that I do.
